Under UCI Regulations, it is the age category into which a competitor falls on 1st January of the cyclo-cross season which determines his/her category for the whole season. For the 2007-2008 season the following age categories will apply in BC cyclo-cross events:
The National Senior Championship is restricted to riders born in 1984 or earlier; under 23 riders must enter their separate Championship race. Races for Women are open to Junior, Under 23, Senior and Veteran Women
